Put hinges in old pot, just enough water to cover, add couple tablespoons vinegar and squirt of dish washing liquid. Bring to boil, then simmer.
I'm telling you, I really thought it would take at least 30 minutes to get results. These were NASTY!
Behold the difference! It only took about 10 minutes! The paint has been on these beauties 30+ years!
Spray Paint!
This old bread box is okay but drab, let's give it a face-lift! Used old white spray paint my husband had lying around. Let's see what happens! Oh, and the apple...well I just wanted to see how it would turn out.
After getting back in the house...I see where I need to touch up under the top of lid....and I see a boo boo in the bottom right corner...but it looks better than it did!
